Michelle L. Dean, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, CGP is a Board Certified Art Psychotherapist, Licensed Professional Counselor & Certified Group Psychotherapist. Ms. Dean is in private practice in Glenside, PA and has expertise in treating individuals, couples & families who struggle with eating disorders, relational, somatic, and trauma issues. She has been an Adjunct Professor at Arcadia University since 1997. Ms. Dean is a nationally recognized educator and is an approved NBCC continuing education provider for both live programs and traditional home-study courses. She is a supervisor for ATR & LPC candidates. Ms. Dean is the author of the children’s book, Taking Weight Problems to School and the chapter, “Preserving the self: Treating eating disordered individuals who self-injure with art therapy” in Creative arts therapies with patients who have eating disorders. In 2007, her work was honored with the Delaware Valley Art Therapy Association's “Innovations in Art Therapy Award.” |
